The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of Ohio recently selected the State of the Heart Hospice Coldwater, Ohio facility to receive a $5,000 hospice grant. Annually, the VFW, Dept. of Ohio conducts fundraising events with the monies collected divided equally between Cancer Research and Hospice. The grant was 1 of 10 $5,000 awards made by the State VFW to a hospice facility. On hand for the presentation and representing the VFW, Dept. of Ohio was Gerald "Mort Ward", State Senior Vice Commander, Wayne Tekamp, Commander of the Coldwater VFW Post #5135, members of the Post and Ken Kurz, Director of Development & Public Relations, State of the Heart Hospice.
